Kooyong Stadium

Kooyong Stadium, at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, is a tennis venue, located in Melbourne, Australia. The stadium was built in 1927 and has a capacity of 8,500.[1]

It was the venue for the Australian Open, whenever that tournament was held in Melbourne, becoming the permanent venue in 1972. The tournament was moved to Melbourne Park in 1988.[2] The surface was grass courts. Now a hard-court surface, remains the venue for the AAMI Classic exhibition tournament.[1]

The venue has also hosted several concerts:
